Privacy Policy

Last updated April 14, 2026

This policy describes how BetterHealthBench ("we") handles information collected through our website, CLI, and API. This is a draft policy for review by counsel prior to public launch.

What we collect

  • Account data: email, name, and organization if you create an account or submit a model for evaluation.
  • Usage data: pages visited, API requests, and error logs for the purposes of operating and improving the platform.
  • Submitted evaluation artifacts: model outputs, configurations, and metadata you upload for benchmarking.

What we don't collect

BetterHealthBench evaluates models against synthetic and research-derived clinical scenarios. We do not solicit, store, or process real protected health information (PHI). If you encounter a workflow that appears to request PHI, stop and contact us.

How we use data

  • Operate, secure, and improve the evaluation platform.
  • Publish benchmark results and methodology.
  • Communicate with you about submissions, security, and updates.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data with infrastructure providers (e.g., our database and hosting vendors) under contract, with legal authorities when required by law, and with the public only in the form of aggregate benchmark results.

Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active and evaluation artifacts for as long as needed to maintain the integrity of published results. You may request deletion at any time.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA, and CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your information. Contact privacy@betterhealthbench.org to exercise them.
